I’m using the Averaged DT-MSLA monthly datasets (http://www.aviso.altimetry.fr/en/data/products/sea-surface-height-products/global/msla-mean-climatology.html#c10358) for my project and don’t understand what units the data are in. Within the netCDF file the metedata states the units are in m (meters). It also lists a scale_factor = 0.0001.
How do I implement the scale_factor? The data seems incorrect if the scale_factor is or is not used.

All files begin with:
Normally the scale factor is already applied when the data is read, so the units should be meters when you look at the data in BRAT.
