    Hi forum,

I’m new to altimetry and trying to find answers to my very basic questions! I’ve read in many places that estimating sea ice thickness is possible and trying to put this into practice using BRAT and S3 data.

If there is a tutorial on this please point me to it as much searches have come up with nothing so far.

Should I be downloading SR_1_SRA, SR_1_SRA_A or SR_1_SRA_BS data from scihub to get the product with the necessary fields needed? I see SR_2_LAN (the only other option) is for land applications.

What operation should I be performing (I assume this is not in the Quick Operations menu) and on which fields?

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Cate
